STS Highlights: June 2022

I spent the morning diving into data in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) Fatality and Injury Reporting System Tool (FIRST) to see if there are any new trends in pedestrian deaths on Halloween. Based on data from 2006-2020, October 31 still marks the most deadly holiday for pedestrians. We are roughly two weeks away from Halloween, but PLEASE remember to be especially aware when driving around the holiday!

The Oklahoma Association for Pupil Transportation (OAPT) is your resource for pupil transportation in OK. School bus directors, mechanics, and drivers have joined forces in a dedicated and strategic front to promote bus safety on a professional level to students across our state.

OAPT proudly offers onsite or online training, networking opportunities, advice, and guidance to pupil transportation in Oklahoma.
